California Privacy Notice

Effective October 28, 2026

This notice supplements the SPARE/WARE Privacy Policy and applies to residents of California. It describes the personal information Spare Ware Designs, LLC ("SPARE/WARE," "we" or "us") collects through spareware.co, how we use and share it, and the rights you have under California privacy law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

1. Personal information we collect

In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information:

Identifiers: name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, IP address, and account or device identifiers.
Commercial information: products viewed, added to your cart and purchased, order history, and discount codes used.
Financial information: payment details are collected and processed by our payment processor. We receive only limited information, such as the card type and last four digits.
Internet and device activity: pages viewed, links clicked, referring site, browser and device type, and similar data collected through cookies and pixels.
Approximate location: derived from your IP address or shipping address.
Communications: messages you send us and your email or text signup preferences.

We collect this information from you directly, from your device when you use our site, and from service providers that help us run the store. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law, other than payment details handled by our payment processor.

2. How we use personal information

We use personal information to process and deliver orders, provide customer support, prevent fraud, operate and improve the site, send emails and texts you have asked for, measure and run our advertising, and comply with the law.

3. Sharing, selling and targeted advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. We do use advertising and analytics tools, such as the Meta and TikTok pixels, that collect identifiers, device and activity data and purchase events so we can show our ads and measure results. California law may treat this as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time (see section 5).

We disclose personal information to service providers that act on our behalf, including our store platform, payment processors, shipping carriers, email and text messaging providers, and advertising and analytics partners. We may also disclose information when the law requires it. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

4. Your rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

know what personal information we collect, use and disclose about you, and request a copy;
delete personal information we hold about you, with some legal exceptions;
correct inaccurate personal information;
opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
not be treated differently for using these rights.

5. How to exercise your rights

To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, visit Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. We also honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control sent by your browser.

To request to know, delete or correct personal information, email support@thespareware.com with "California privacy request" in the subject line, or use our contact page. We will ask for enough information to verify your identity, such as the email address and order number on your account. We will respond within 45 days, and let you know if we need more time. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We may ask for written permission from you and verify your identity directly.

6. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Order and tax records are kept as long as the law requires. Marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Advertising and analytics data is kept for the period set by the provider. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it.
